Since its return to prominence as a football power in the late 80´s, the University of Florida Gator football team became known, respected and feared for its sophisticated passing offense and sheer scoring power. Winning several SEC titles and the national championship in 1996, the Gator football team consistently ranks among the top teams in the nation and battles yearly with their main rivals: The Florida State Seminoles, Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs.
